What is Sellmates?

Sellmates is an online digital music store where you can buy music through secure, legal, hi-speed, high-quality downloads in DRM-free MP3 format.

Will Sellmates music play on my iPod?

Yes.

What is DRM? Does Sellmates use DRM?

DRM stands for 'Digital Rights Management' - it often restricts how files can be played and copied once they have been downloaded. Sellmates does not use DRM. All music you download from Sellmates is DRM-free.

What about MP3 quality?

Sellmates tracks (apart from some of the free downloads) are encoded at the maximum possible quality of 320kbps using the LAME codec, widely acknowledged as the best MP3 encoder available.

Why is the sky blue?

The blue color of the sky is due to Rayleigh scattering. As light moves through the atmosphere, most of the longer wavelengths pass straight through. Little of the red, orange and yellow light is affected by the air.

However, much of the shorter wavelength light is absorbed by the gas molecules. The absorbed blue light is then radiated in different directions. It gets scattered all around the sky. Whichever direction you look, some of this scattered blue light reaches you. Since you see the blue light from everywhere overhead, the sky looks blue.
